The River Ure is a beautiful river and there is plenty of variation - from deep pools, smooth fast glides, rocky runs and riffles. This affords us the opportunity to employ a variety of fly fishing techniques, from traditional North Country Spiders, dry and wet fly and Euro Nymphing. Plus, when the water level is up a bit, the pools fish the Salmon Fly very nicely indeed.
The Fishing starts at Kilgram Bridge and continues downstream on the righthand bank for just under two miles.
With a small select membership there is always plenty of room, more often than not you will have the whole stretch to yourself; however, when you do meet another member it is always a pleasure and a welcome interlude.
We do not stock. Our philosphy is one of enjoyment, whilst respecting and appreciating the river, it's banks, the wildlife and above all our quarry.
